Each person has a different perception or idea of the term “Luxury”. When it comes to turntables, luxury is not defined by price or brand, but by its ability to deliver a compelling musical experience. The Wave turntable focuses on rejecting vibrations with its thick base, steady rubber feet and belt-driven plate. The goal of this project was to create an item of one’s own interest keeping in mind the qualities of what makes an object luxurious. 100+ sketches were made in intervals of three minutes in order to reach the desired idea. This was followed by hand manufacturing process in order to create a physical appearance model.
